The Product Designer Lead is responsible to lead and manage the team of UX & UI to understand users’ needs through user research, usability testing and act as a user advocate for the product to make sure the customer has the best experience possible with it.
Area of Responsibility
- Ensure the team has a clear direction and priority towards projects that align with product and company vision.
- Mentor and coach a team of designers, provide them with a path to career success through relevant and objective OKRs.
- Most importantly, make sure the team’s physical and mental health is kept in check
- Champion and promote design thinking, research, and processes within an agile organization to get the best outcome possible.
- Identify users’ problems and pain points through research, survey and data.
- Explore knowledge in design updates and trends then implement in the best scenario for the product
- Work with product, business, marketing, research, data and engineering heads to build/improve user experience towards that vision.
- Working with other product designs leads to ensuring the design system and vision are implemented within the company
Positions Requirement
- Preferably Bachelor / Masters Degree in Computer Science, Design or Engineering
- At least 4 years of experience as UI or UX Designer
- Experience managing or mentoring a successful team.
- Experience in user research and producing actionable insight.
- Experience in the Design Thinking framework would be loveable.
- Experience in unicorns, tech companies (or tech-driven companies), and equivalent is a plus.
