This position is responsible for developing aftermarket sales opportunities (spare parts, wear parts and services) mainly for FLS Aftermarket business in mainly key commodities industry Nickel and Coal as well as support to other industries in Indonesia. The position will also be the main coordinator for Sampling, Preparation and Analysis (SPA) business in Indonesia.

The incumbent will foster value-adding customer relationships, and manage all aftermarket sales related aspects, including proposal preparation, discussions and finalization of agreements and working together with agent and or distributor).

Job and Responsibilities

Comprise the following. Other duties may be assigned considering organisational needs and incumbent’s levels of knowledge, skills, experience and abilities.

  • Acts as the principal link (local sales initiatives) between customers and company for all the business divisions and product lines in order to ensure the growth and consolidation of the company sales
  • Keeps in touch with the customer, identifying customer’s most important necessities and the channels for the new projects
  • Knows customer budget, organization and hierarchy, selecting the most important contact for the activities that company wants to promote
  • Is informed about short-, medium- and long-term customer plans, keeping in touch with Project Sales Team
  • Gathers information on manufacturing output, performances and products of company and competition plants
  • Investigates on competition performances and quality
  • Collect competitors ‘information/monitoring competitors’ activities
  • Map market potential to formulate strategy, develop and implement After Market Strategy in line with the business needs and keep aligning the strategy with market trends.
  • Business intelligence related to aftermarket sales for strategic decisions necessary for enhancing the business
  • Leads agent/distributor’s team of aftermarket sales engineer in the market
  • Provide a link between the local FLS local organization and Product Lines, in terms of flow of information, support, product supply, parts supply, service and give general back up where and when required.
  • Manage the distribution channel accounts including sales targets and forecasts, reports on markets, product support, inventory and credit control etc.
  • Support pro-actively, Sales of Wear and Spare Parts. Provides technical support to customers, agent/dealer, sales personnel’s and service engineers in respect of the parts and logistics function.
  • Supervise and coordinates for a check and follow up on all account’s receivables with region/customers
  • Implement approval grid, supervise and co-ordinate the discount structures working for customers.


Responsible for all Parts and Logistics functions in Indonesia like –

  • Pro-active sales of wear and spare parts / Aftermarket.
  • Interaction with customers/agent/dealer
  • Optimize all department costs.
  • Owns the responsibility and authority to take all necessary decisions pertaining to After-Market with prior approvals



  • Must be aggressive, assertive and confident.
  • Excellent communication skill.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as parts manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must have excellent leadership skills.
  • Must be team-player and lead by setting examples.
  • Degree (Mechanical) and 4 – 6 years sales experience in aftermarket.
  • Must be experienced in the use of a personal computer including the proficient use of spreadsheets, word processing, Excel, Power Point and have a basic understanding of the use of data bases.
  • Experience must be from following industries: Construction, Minerals Processing, Heavy Engineering, Aggregates, Mining, Equipment Distribution and the allied service industries.



  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, airborne particles, outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
