Position at GroupM Services

The GroupM Nexus team adopt a collaborative and customer-centric approach in delivering high value and innovative solutions for our Agencies’ and Agencies’ clients, including the activation and execution of dynamic media campaigns.

The GroupM Nexus Buying team delivers best in class media buying and implementation.
The following are the responsibilities of every Buying team and the varying degree of complexity is subject to individual job level:

  • Solid understanding of clients’ brand, GroupM Agency’s deliverables and campaign KPIs
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve and enhance clients’ campaigns and advise GroupM Agencies accordingly
  • Proactively address, and escalate when needed, any issue that compromises the quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders to deliver value to clients
  • Conduct quality control and assurance of the own and the team’s workstream before handing it over to other specialists
  • Understanding and 100% compliance with finance processes and compliance with GroupM policies and procedures
  • Continuously expand and share knowledge and understanding of new trends, media channels and technologies

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Plan and buy TV and Non-TV media space and manage relationships with key media owners
  • Independently and thoroughly perform TV and Non-TV campaigns for the assigned portfolio of clients
  • Monitor, manage and report on clients’ budgets and campaign KPI’s
  • Active and closely monitoring (daily, weekly, monthly) for the for any client’s campaign
  • Ensure the best in class processes are adhered to for all campaign operations
  • Maintain day to day relationships with GroupM Agency Planners and ensure timelines are adhered to and workloads are managed effectively
  • Work closely with all team members to improve working efficiency and effectiveness
  • Successfully negotiate with media partners to ensure delivery of goals
  • Recommend the best buying and negotiations strategy to the planning team, to optimize CPRP and ROI
  • Support team while meeting the reporting requirements
  • Manage client’s budgets and deliver on annual media KPIs including prime-fringe ratio, CPRP and inflation, strike rates
  • Provide actionable and insightful mid and post campaign reports to improve in-flight optimizations and future campaign brief recommendations
  • Any other project or tasks as assigned from time to time

Mandatory Qualifications and Technical Skills:

  • Leadership skills demonstrated by self-confidence, good judgement, sound decision-making, empathic listening, flexibility, self-motivation and ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Able to efficiently prioritize and delegate tasks in a fast-changing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Team player demonstrated by the ability to receive and provide feedback professionally, thrive and collaborate in a cross-functional environment

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Past people management experience intended as ability to drive people towards joint goals, mentor, coach and motivate them as well as hold them accountable for their results.

  • Good negotiation, budget & inflation management, analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • Detail-oriented, innovative, responsive to deadlines and able to balance priorities
  • Strive for excellence demonstrated by setting high standards for yourself and others, committed to continuous improvement and deliver results despite constraints
  • Relationship skills and aware and respectful of diversities
